We are so excited about seeing the family this weekend! It has been a long week, but a much better one than last week. Barry has had many good days. Still easily fatigued, but the nausea is under control. He is excited about the weekend.
I mentioned earlier this week (Tuesday) that Dr. Timmerman told Barry that his hair would begin to fall out. Unbelievably, it started that evening. A patch the size of a tennis ball near his incision simply wiped off with the touch of a bath towel. Barry wasn't prepared for it to happen that suddenly and in such quantity. This morning, after his shower, another patch, this one much larger was missing. I could tell that this was very emotional for Barry, so we decided to go ahead and cut it super short so that when it did disappear, it would be much less noticeable. I think it looks AWESOME!
